How the

RBC referral

programme works

Step One: Find your potential rebel reader.

Previous referrals have come from friendship groups, workplaces or indirectly via strangers! Spread the word about RBC far and wide and get rewarded.

Step Two: Get your rebel reader to email our team.

Ask your rebel reader to email our membership team at hello@rebelbookclub.co.uk and quote your name and email when they contact us.

Step Three: We send your reward!

After your rebel reader has joined the club, we’ll reward you based on the type of membership they sign up for. For each quarterly subscription, we’ll gift you both a non-fiction book at your next event. For each yearly subscription we’ll give you both one month of membership for free!

Repeat

New month. We go again. Never stop learning.

Why join our

non-fiction

book club?

Authors, scientists, creatives, entrepreneurs.

Our events showcase the best of the best. We're so honoured + thrilled to host some of the finest thinkers around.

In the last few years, we've heard from authors including Al Humphreys (Doorstep Mile), Dana Thomas (Fashionopolis), Dina Nayeri (The Ungrateful Refugee), Symeon Brown (Get Rich or Lie Trying) + Noreena Hertz (The Lonely Century).

We listened intently to Dame Sue Ion on nuclear power (Midnight in Chernobyl). Dr. Monique Charles, aka the Professor of Grime, inspired us with the cultural context of the #Merky Story. The Mindful Drinking queen, Laura Willoughby, served up a treat for our Club Sober theme. And Geralyn Drefous, Director of The Great Hack (Netflix), left us well and truly 'Mindf*cked' by her tales of Cambridge Analytica.

You truly never know where it's gonna go!

Reading Health

1. Finish Them

We push you to start (and finish) more books. Weekly nudges, power hours, monthly meetups.

2. Read differently

Dive into topics outside your book bubble. Diversify your library & perspectives.

3. From aha to action

Dive into topics outside your book bubble. Diversify your library & perspectives.

“I feel like a different person. I have a richer and different perspective on the world. I never read much non-fiction before I joined.”

Real Connections

4. Skip small talk

When everyone is reading the same book you get straight to the juice. Cocktails help too.

5. Curious cats

Entwine your wandering mind with others and form new friendships.

6. Un-networking

Get the benefits of networking - career hook-ups, startup guidance, creative connections - without, ahem, networking.

“I used to get frustrated when finishing a thought-provoking read when no one in my life also read it. Then I joined Rebel Book Club." Habbi

Personal Growth

7. Dive deeper

Often fleeting, we want the important stuff to stick. A monthly focus gives us a better chance to change.

8. Light a Fire

Be prepared to spark your synapses with fresh data, stories & ideas.

9. Back yourself

Reading by yourself is an escape. Sharing with friends solidifies knowledge and builds your inner-confidence.

I've loved RBC so much since I've joined, its not a stretch to say the books are triggering me to change my life and such a great group of people. " Claire
